Part of the weight has been lifted!!!

Today we had portfolio assessments!  It was grueling sitting and waiting for my turn to go into the room to present!  I got there at 7:45 and did not get into the room until 10:00!  It went really well today and.....

I PASSED!

So, now my portfolio is online for future employers to look at =)  There are a few glitches in it (as my links aren't opening properly) so I have to go in and reload it and hopefully it will work!!!  Here's my amazing (haha or not so) picture that is on the portfolio:

Not sure but I'm pretty sure I infamously blinked when the flash went off!  Oh well, it'll get the job done!

Thanks for your patience while I have not been updating haha!  I had to get my portfolio completed!  Now it's back to focusing on class work and HUGE projects that are due in a few weeks! Wish me luck!

Soccer!

While we were at home the last weekend in September I got to attend an event for Lukas!  Chad was in Medora with my dad playing golf for the Break Forth Bible Church annual golf scramble.  He won a visor as a door prize =)  They were lucky enough to have some very nice weather this year for the event.  He had a great time and as soon as his cousin Kayla posts the pictures she has I will steal them and put them on here for you all to see =)

Anyhow! While Chad was golfing I was watching Lukas play some soccer!  I hung out with Michelle (who walked down to the field!) during the game and Linken showed up after his piano lessons.  Lukas did a great job!  He ran hard and fast.  He seemed to enjoy running around after the ball.  Sarah (his mom) was one of his coaches this year (this was his first year playing).  She seemed to enjoy it, but I haven't asked her so you will have to ask her if you want to know!  Here are a few pictures from the game:

Coming quick!

Wednesday we present our student teacher portfolios to a set of designated panelists.  Although I may have gotten the panelist that I was hoping for, I'm still nervous!  It takes us about 20 minutes to go through everything and then we have to entertain questions/comments from the panelists.  I have my portfolio completed except for my teaching philosophy (which just needs to be condensed).  I will spend from 8:00 a.m. till 12:00p.m. there while I wait to present and find out if I passed (which means I get to student teach!).  The next two days will be spent going over it and making any last minute changes, as well as making sure I have it down and won't have to look back at the screen to read it (we have them placed online and no hard copy).  So, that is what my next few days will be consumed with!  Along with going to hang out with the 5th graders again finally and working on units for some classes.  I will update about the wedding and everything else as soon as I get Wednesday over with!

Welcome Winter

Just a quick note today.  The weather has turned quickly from fall *which happened during the months May through September* to winter.  I've been super busy this semester with getting everything done and ready for student teaching, graduation, and projects up the wazoo for my classes (at least one big project is due every week! it's crazy!!!).  Hopefully after Student Teacher Assessment day things will settle down and I will be able to fill you all in on what's been going on!  This weekend we are headed to Billings for Josh and Julie's wedding =) should be a good time!  Bummed that the weather isn't cooperating for them ,but it will still be a great time!  Anyhow! I'll fill you all in more in a few weeks!

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who came and ate soup and played bingo at Michelle's benefit!  It was a fun time and the weather really cooperated for a soup lunch (it was cold and windy!!).  The donations they received will help a lot with the medical expenses that have accrued and they appreciate it very much!  Thanks again for all your support through prayer, good thoughts, and monetary donations.

THANK YOU!!!!
